This was a bit of a unique project - the client said he had all the production Catfish rods out there and wanted something unique.
Built on a Batson Enterprises, Rainshadow Rod Blank RCKJB800-250, 30-50 lb / 3-8 oz blank and spiral wrapped - something with plenty of power to take on larger flathead & blue cats when fishing from the river bank.
The rod was custom painted by Backbone Custom Rod Company and then custom burl cork grips with a bit of acrylic flair integrated were hand crafted while the rod received Alps MXN gold ring guides, CAH-LX reel seat without the inset to allow the rod blank to show and butt cap. Finally, the rod was topped off with glow-in-the-dark pigments....
