ICRBE 2022 Display Rods

Back Creek Custom Rods has several rods on display at ICRBE 2022.   The "Purple Nightmare" is on display in Back Creek Custom Rod's booth (505), while the "Go Pack" and "Then and Now" rods are on display in The Southern Rod Builders booth (705).

This is the second in a series for a customer who is a big cat fisherman, who has all the "production rods" but wanted something totally unique.

Build for Mike's son, Matt, for his High School Graduation, this rod captures all the NCSU Wolfpack spirit where Matt now attends college.

• Batson Rainshadow Revelation REV68MH - 6' 8" MH blank,  Fast action, 12-20 lb line,  3/8 - 1 oz lure
• ALPS-Forecast Carbon-fiber grips in Red & Black

• Two custom weaves - one located inside the rod seat exposed blank window and the other above the foregrip, and an open chevron red & white wrap in the split-grip

This rod was one of the first things Mike took on in his rod building journey - the custom grips and guide wraps - and then about 18 months later finally completed the pair of rods with the closed decorative wraps.
